Call for Papers

The Industrial, Applications, and Experience Track covers innovative commercial data management systems, solutions, and applications, database implementations, novel applications of database technology, and experience in applying recent research advances to real-world problems. We invite submissions in any of the following example areas and in other areas where data management is important:

• Data Mining and Text Analytics
• Application Areas (Government, Finance, Telecommunications, Home and Personal Computing, Retail, ...)
• Data Security, Privacy, Auditing
• Big Data
• Cloud Data Services
• Enterprise Data Management
• Data-centric Applications for Smart Phones
• Systems that Exploit New Hardware Trends

• Web Data Management, Social Network Applications

Submission Guidelines

We accept full papers (up to 12 pages), extended abstracts (2-4 pages), as well as short abstracts (1 page, 500 words). We encourage submissions on innovative solutions and applications related to commercial or industrial-strength software.

The papers should be prepared using VLDB formatting instructions and must be submitted eletronically, in pdf format, by 10 pm PST, March 31, 2012, using the conference management tool accessible at https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/VLDB2012/.
